She's another favorite of mine. The scales, iridescence, hair, pearly nip pasties; the whole package.
Actually the little mermaid was a beloved Disney favorite of mine, as well. The tale never did sit right with me, though. And as much of a bitch as Ursula was, I had my sympathies for her. Looking back, the whole thing is a bit stupid. Who would trade permant swimming for a life on land? Especially with all of her treasures? I blame my hoarding on Ariel.
Moving on, the Sea Maiden is made of wire, first wrapped in quilting pad from the waist down and sculpted from polymer clay waist up. Her neck, shoulders, elbows, and wrists move freely. Coated in acrylics; fabrics and bead also used.
Unlike Ariel, The Sea Maiden is perfectly content where she lays her head. The doll house suits her down to the ground, but she will make you happy, too.
